There are pros and cons to each type of breast implant. Saline breast implants have long been the more popular choice but are quickly becoming outpaced by silicone implants.
Silicone implants are pre-filled with silicone gel. Saline implants, on the other hand, are not pre-filled; instead, they are inserted into the breast pockets empty and then filled with a saltwater saline solution.
